One of the most essential things you can own in your wardrobe during the summer time are rompers they are perfect for any occasion and are great for warmer days. I've worn this romper everywhere lately to brunch, dinner, and even to class with these sandals. Although I wish it came in different colors since the material is so soft, I guess this & this will do just fine too!

Skin Care Favorites

I've always been big on skincare and have over the years found the perfect products that work for my skin type. I have sensitive and oily skin which means I steer far from products that can irritate my skin such as exfoliating masks, soaps, and facial scrubs. I start off my routine every morning with my Fresh cleanser {works for all skin types!}. It's a gel cleanser which doesn't strip the moisture off my skin but does remove excess oil and leaves my skin super soft. I also use it at night to clean my face and remove my make up. I then use my all time favorite Clinique moisturizer {I've been using this product since I was 12!} it's perfect for oily skin and keeps my skin smooth. Another product I use is my Clinique eye cream I apply it in the morning since it reduces puffiness and darkness under the eye and makes me look as if I slept 8+ hours. For acne I use my secret weapon the Clean & Clear treatment it has salicylic acid that dries the area so it removes the acne very quickly.  I also use a facial mask once a week, I own a couple of the Freeman "Feeling Beautiful" line but this one has been my favorite for diminishing the look of pores and ultimately clearing my skin.
What are you favorite skin care products? If you have any recommendations for products I should use leave me a comment!

Have a wonderful weekend!

For the shoeaholic..

My greatest weakness when it comes to shopping are shoes. I can't have enough of them especially when they are on sale or are cheaper knock offs of expensive brands. We all know of the Valentino heels that are well over $900 dollars but I'd rather be sporting the Charlotte Russe ones for $29. That's a total saving of 96% which is pretty incredible! Ladies before you splurge always consider the cheaper route it will save you tons of money for the exact same look.

Makeup Favorites {May 2015}

 | Lipstick: MAC {Creme in your Coffee} | Eyeshadow: Urban Decay {Midnight Cowgirl} | Blush: Nars {Super Orgasm} |   Highlighter: MAC {soft and gentle} | Primer: Hourglass Veil | Foundation: MUFE  Mat Velvet +  |

Hey guys! I decided to do a post on makeup products I've been loving lately and I thought I showed some swatches of the products as well. I've been obsessed with shimmery makeup products as of late and haven't touched any of my more 'matte' products for over a month now. I think this has to do with the fact that when I have classes my makeup routine is more focused on oil free and long consistency so I stay clear from my more shimmery products that can make me look oily {after 6+ hours on campus}. Since I'm done with my first year of college {woah!} and heading into the luxury of summer I've been drawn to more fun products.

Before I start with the makeup I wanted to quickly mention my Tory Burch makeup bag. I bought it last year and it's been holding up very well {very easy to clean even if foundation spills all over..... guilty}. I've been however eyeing this Kate Spade makeup bag but I'll have to contain myself since mine works just fine.

MAC Lipstick in "Creme in your Coffee"

I've been obsessed with my MAC cremeshene lipstick in "Creme in your Coffee" which I would say is a perfect deep but wearable lipstick that has a mixture of brown and rosy red colors. You know when a lipstick is a hit when you're contemplating on buying a back up just in case. It's long lasting and a go to color since it works well with a "no makeup makeup look" and a dark eye look.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow in "Midnight Cowgirl"

I've been in love with Urban Decay eyeshadows since my first ever palette from them. Their eyeshadows are creamy and last a long time even without eye primer. Urban Decay's eyeshadow in "Midnight Cowgirl" has been such a great stand alone color as of late, it reminds me of a perfect combination of their more popular colors "Virgin" and "Sin" {both found in their Naked one palette}.

Nars Blush in "Super Orgasm"

This Nars blush has been a favorite of mine for years {this is my second one}. During school time I would only wear this blush for going out at night but in the summer I often see myself applying it in the day time. "Super Orgasm" is a gorgeous shimmery {with bits of glitter} light peachy blush that gives off the look of glowy skin. Not going to lie I also apply this blush on my shoulders and collar bone for extra shimmer!

MAC 'Mineralize' Skinfinish in "Soft & Gentle"

As you can tell I haven't necessarily hit pan on this product yet since it is relatively new. Although it being new and all I have been using it for over a month now and I'm super impressed {and a tiny bit in love}. I was never really someone to use 'highlighters', I had used some sample products before but never jumped the highlight bandwagon until I met this product. Call me crazy but this product was worth the price and I'm in awe with what a difference highlight can make. I've been using this with a stippling brush so I grab just the right amount of product.

Hourglass Veil Primer

I can't say how much this product has changed my make up routine. It not only provides me with  SPF protection but it gives me a more matte finish while leaving my skin soft and bright. I tried swashing this product for y'all but when it comes to primers you really have to try the product yourself. I recommend next time you go to Sephora try the sample on display and ask for a free sample of it too. Trust me it is awesome!

MUFE: Matt Velvet +

Last but not least I've been obsessed with this foundation since I bought it in late January.  Although at the time I bought it in a shade darker {35} than my natural skin color it is now my perfect color since I have been self tanning. I apply this foundation with a beauty blender {talk about best applicator for foundation} and it hides all my imperfections.

I got the blues

1.Dress 2. Zigi Soho Heels 3. Mac {in Flat Out Fabulous} 4.Gorjana ring 5.Kendra Scott {Periwinkle} 6. Rebecca Minkoff Clutch 7. Essie {Aruba Blue}

I've been online shopping lately at Lulu's {they have the best deals} and so happened to come across this gorgeous floral dress from them that was less than $40! I also fell in love with this other similar dress here. I know I own too many floral dresses but I actually don't own blue floral dresses and I think they are a must have for this summer.  Floral dresses are perfect for any college girl {or thrifty fashionistas} because you can wear the same dress to brunch and even a girls night out {all thanks to different accessories}. This dress in particle reminds me of something I would wear for a GNO and thought it would pair so well with some black heels. While I was looking for a great pair of black heels I found some perfect ones at Bakers shoes. I couldn't resist buying them especially when they were on sale for $60. Talk about score! I've been also eyeing these new Kendra Scott earrings in Periwinkle, aren't they the most beautiful shade of blue for summer? I'm not sure if this happens to y'all but it is much more difficult for me to splurge on jewelry than in shoes. They would  however be sooo perfect for a girls night out. Those earrings would also work so well with MAC's Flat Out Fabulous {the name says it all} it's the perfect pink that works well with blue hues. MAC lipsticks are some of my all time favorite they can be a bit drying on the lips but if you apply lip balm beforehand {I recommend this one} you'll be fine.

This night look wouldn't be complete with some accessories, this Gorjana ring is to die for. Gorjana jewelry are so beautiful and so delicate definitely check them out if you haven't. This Rebecca Minkoff Clutch is gorgeous however they are some cheaper alternatives sold here and here {both less than $20!}. To top it all off this Essie nail polish in {Aruba Blue} would make any look complete it reminds me a lot of this one which is my go to shade. As always girls night out wouldn't be complete with your best girlfriends so give them a call, after shopping of course!

Do you y'all create fake plans to justify your purchases? Because I know I do!  Thanks for reading.

Let's start...

After many.. many years of  following fashion bloggers I've decided to do my share in the blogging world. So to start off let me just introduce myself, my name is Maria and I'm a college student at Florida International University. I'm currently a Women's Studies major following the pre-health program in hopes of becoming a Neonatologist. I'm very much involved in my community and I love to help others (is this starting to sound like a college essay or what? ha). My pastimes involve shopping, working out, binge watching tv shows, and trying out new sushi places with my best friend Ivette.
Must resist to not eat sushi everyday

Ivette (right) and me (left). Yes, we had a frozen theme party for her birthday. We just can't let it go.

I started this blog as a way to share my college journey and a way to see how my style evolves over the years. I will post little bits of everything from health and fitness, to outfits and makeup hauls, and overall college experiences. Thanks for reading! I'll show more pictures for the fun of it:
Isn't the view gorgeous? I love Downtown Miami!

I actually was on the phone and thought this was a good pose. Let's just ignore the pose and instead admire the longevity of the lipstick even after eating chips with salsa!

So much fun you can't even see my face
My big sis!

Great times with great friends

See you guys next time
